One of the most sought-after items in my seasonal crate. I had a file of the song for a couple years, and played it on my KEXP Christmas show in 2007 and 2008 to great response, but have been reluctant to blog about it until I actually owned a physical copy. (I know, I know, I'm old-fashioned.)
This is a promo 45 issued by Elektra in 1992, right around the time the first Luna album came out, when they were briefly being billed as Luna² (see also: London Suede, The English Beat, UK Squeeze). The track's never been released anywhere else, but when I campaign Rhino to let me assemble a digital new wave/alt-rock Christmas album later this year, this is right at the top of my wish list (along with Danielle Dax's "Blue Christmas").

Hi and thanks for the comment on the Nuclear Crayons LP. I would definitely want to hear that Nameless 7" as it's way too hard to find. Just let me know if you would put it up here.
All the best,
CG.

Did we know that we both liked Danielle Dax?
I haven't thought about those Rhino collections in awhile, I used to go by the Rhino store often when I worked at Tower Westwood in hmmm 1986?
I also love the D Dax Blue Xmas. Would you happen to have Combustible Edison's promo Xmas release? I used to have it and would like to have it again. It was released on a Sub Pop sampler in the late 90's. Love your blog. J
John, I do have the Combustible Edison Sub Pop greeting card & CD combo promo. I'll put up one music (and the cocktail recipes) as soon as I excavate that chunk of the Yuletide library.
