Christmas is coming!
Are you excited? Little Marcy is!
She can hardly wait to see the decorations and hear the Christmas songs.
Little Marcy likes Christmas because she knows it is the celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus. That's right, it's Jesus' birthday!
Marcy likes to sing the Christmas songs, too. She sings Jingle Bells, We Wish You A Merry Christmas, Silent Night and lots more. They are all on this record. If you listen to them you can even sing along. Marcy would like that. And when that special day finally comes, even though it seems to take forever, Little Marcy wishes you a Merry Christmas.
Little Marcy is a puppet. But she's not gonna let anything as trivial as being carved out of wood stop her from making a Christmas record. Little Marcy has God on her side. If she wants to sing, consarnit, she will sing. Or screech. It is a joyful noise, nevertheless.

Today's second selection comes courtesy of Rod McKuen's occasional musical cronies, the Anita Kerr Singers. I'd previously only known this song as the spiritual "Last Month of the Year," but the smooth-as-butter AKS elevate it to a very different plane of transcendence, giving Singers Unlimited a run for the money in the realms of EZ listening jazz weirdness.

Little Marcy is terrifying. Like one of those puppets that come to life after you're asleep and gnaws your heart out of your chest. Yikes.
